One of the most simple, and most overlooked, ways of doing this is to examine your diet. Doctors have always held that there is no connection between diet and acne blackheads, but more recent studies have found that diet does, in fact, have an effect on your body's formation of blackheads and acne. Not directly, perhaps, but an effect none-the-less. It appears that the wrong diet can negatively affect hormonal production and toxic elimination, which can seriously aggravate the formation of blackheads and acne.
The appearance of acne on your face can work wonders for your confidence. In this image driven world we are constantly desiring perfection and acne is the last thing you need when trying to look your best. Of course this is why acne is a very profitable market as many folks don't mind going to the bank if it means they can get rid of there acne. This is understandable but not necessarily wise.
The face and upper neck are the most commonly affected, but the chest, back and shoulders may have acne as well. The upper arms can also have acne, but lesions found there are often keratosis pilaris, not acne. The typical acne lesions are comedones and inflammatory papules, pustules, and nodules. Some of the large nodules were previously called "cysts" and the term nodulocystic has been used to describe severe cases of inflammatory acne. True cysts are rarely found in acne, and the term should be abandoned and the term severe nodular acne used instead.
